Skill of the Week: Focus on crafting good summaries that contain meaningful events and a narrative.
Theology: Genesis 23-25, YouCat 18-20, Journal on Literal Sense and Spiritual Sense of Scripture, Discussion of Church Triumphant, Church Militant, Church Suffering, Students practiced leading morning prayer.
Literature: Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol” introduction through p.29.
History: Ancient Greece responses.
Math: Red Book: Chapter 2 Assessment, Green Book: Chapter 2 Assessment, Feedback on Monday.
Hands-on farm experience/skills: Wooden mallet making (chisel, hammers, saws, skill shave, draw blade, etc.), baby ducks/chickens,

Literature: Finished October Book: Alice in Wonderland. Discussion about theme of growing up vs. growing older, diagramming distinctions and differences between other books.
History: Chapter 4, Lessons 2: Development of Democracy in Athens, set up for Greco-Persian War.
Math: Corrections from assessments, continue with new units.
Hands-on farm experience/skills: Wooden mallet making (chisel, hammers, saws, skill shave, draw blade, etc.), baby ducks/chickens,

**We attended Mass on Tuesday at St. Joseph. The priest was so wonderful and welcoming to us!
**Fr. Brady Keller came to speak to us on Wednesday about his vocation story, as well as the North American martyrs.
Theology: Genesis 2-4, YouCat 9-11, Journal on Literal Sense and Spiritual Sense of Scripture.
Literature: October Book: Alice in Wonderland chapter 7.
History: Timeline Review; Lesson 3.1 and 3.3 — Akkad, Babylon, Persia.
Math: 2.1-2.3 in Red Book, 1.5-1.6 in Green Book. **Math Assessments were sent home with students to complete over the weekend.
Hands-on farm experience/skills: Setting up fencing for winter grazing, selecting wood for woods project: wooden mallets.

History: Group presentations on P.E.T.S. of Early Civilizations (2.1 - 2.5 in textbook), Notes on Indus Valley Civilization
Math: One-on-one meeting about math assessments last week, correct what was incorrect, math from the farm (dividing the land into grazing paddocks), Begin chapter 2.1 (Red), 1.5 (Green).
Hands-on farm experience/skills: Prepare garden area for spring, laying out a paddock, setting up electric fencing.
Logic: Learn about the Law of Noncontradiction, play “20 Questions” and “Master Mind” games to work on questions and logical thinking.
